Access to parks and their wonderful wellbeing benefits should be equitable but sadly, it isn't. Our access team work with under-served communities to understand challenges and develop shared solutions to overcome them.

Meet Madie

Madie

Madie is a part of the New to Nature scheme with us for a 12 month placement as our Access & Community Assistant. She has a degree in History and a passion for animals, social justice and equality.

Madie is leading several projects to improve access for Disabled people and unpaid carers. She improving the information available about facilities and accessibility in parks and working with visually impaired walk guides to run sensory walks.

In her spare time she loves doing coastal walks, listening to music and roller skating.

Madie says "Parks are a crucial space that ought to be available to all."
