Meet our health team

If everyone used parks regularly, the NHS could save £2.1 billion every year. We know parks are good for us and this team lead projects that help people get out into parks for their health and wellbeing.

Meet Suzi

Suzi is our Mental Health Lead. She has over 25 years' experience of developing, delivering and managing mental health and psychological therapies services. In more recent years she has been especially interested in the evidence base for nature-based interventions to support health and wellbeing.

Suzi leads our Green Social Prescribing project, Roots to Wellbeing which delivers a structured 18-week programme of nature-based activities in parks across Bristol and Bath.

Outside of work, Suzi can be found somewhere in the woods or up a mountain with friends, dogs and kids...or on the nearest dancefloor.

Suzi says, "Access to green space could not be more important in our lives right now. The modern world is fast and demanding, and overwhelming to our senses. Green spaces and parks offer a break from this and allow our minds and bodies to relax and restore."

Sarah works with the local community to help make open spaces and parks in Hartcliffe, Withywood and Stockwood more accessible and to raise their profile within these communities. Sarah has particularly enjoyed running some of our family fun summer events in local parks.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys walking her dog, open air swimming, going to gigs and travelling with her 2 teenage children.
