Roy has an impressive background in a mixture of science, education and media, and was primary school teacher.

Roy was also a Black and Green Ambassador in 2021. He says "I am passionate about sustainability and the role of nature connection in wellbeing and health. I have previously developed education programmes across different sectors, and am currently Director of Bright Green Future, a leadership programme for young people based at the Centre for Sustainable Energy, that is focussed on increasing the diversity of the UK’s environmental sector."
