Improve community health
Are you passionate about supporting others, mental health or do you believe in the power of nature to heal? If so, giving back through Roots to Wellbeing sessions could be for you.
You can volunteer weekly at one of five parks across Bristol and Bath through our nature connection and mental health project, Roots to Wellbeing.
Become a Sensory Walk Leader!
We're looking for volunteers to become Sensory Walk Leaders and lead guided sensory walks in parks across Bristol and Bath.
A sensory walk helps people notice sounds, smells, movement, textures, colours, or simply enjoy being still.
You'll receive free Sensory Walk training from SENSE, and we'll support you to map an accessible sensory walk and lead four walks in a park of your choice.
By the end of the programme, you'll have the confidence to lead sensory walks independently and help others get the most out of their local park.
We recognise that Disabled people and unpaid carers can face additional financial and practical barriers to volunteering and accessing their local parks. To help reduce these barriers, Disabled people and unpaid carers who complete the programme will receive a £200 participation bursary.
This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and help make our parks better.
