New Roots to Wellbeing group for Arabic-speaking women in Lawrence Hill
A new group is opening its doors in Lawrence Hill to bring Arabic-speaking women together in a safe and welcoming space.
A safe space to connect with nature, creativity and each other

Sadaga Roots to Wellbeing, run by a partnership between Your Park Bristol & Bath and Sadaga, is designed for women who may be feeling isolated or facing life challenges that affect their wellbeing.
Nature's calming influence

The sessions make the most of nature’s calming influence, with gentle walks, creative arts and crafts, time to relax, and peer support. Each week ends with a free shared meal chosen by the group – a chance to connect over food and friendship. If transport is a barrier, support can be arranged.
Between sessions, Azza from Sadaga, will keep in touch, offering encouragement and signposting to any extra support women may find helpful.
Where and when?

The first block begins on Thursday 11 September, running weekly (except half term) from 10am to 12.30pm at Easton Christian Family Centre, with activities also taking place in the garden and nearby park.
Women can self-refer or be referred by a professional. To find out more or join the group, contact Azza at Sadaga via info@sadaga.org.uk or Your Park at roots@yourpark.org.uk.
Women are welcome to bring along a female supporter if that helps them feel more comfortable.
