Crisis mental health
If you need immediate help please contact your GP or go to the Accident and Emergency Department of your local hospital (24hrs).
- Samaritans (open 24 hours everyday) – 116 123 - Whatever you're going through, you can call Samaritans any time, from any phone for FREE.
- SANEline (open 4pm – 10pm everyday )- . 0300 304 7000 - A national mental health helpline offering specialist emotional support, guidance and information to anyone affected by mental illness, including family, friends and carer.
- CALM (open 5pm – midnight everyday) - 0800 58 58 58 - Helpline and livechat for everyone over the age of 15.
- Shout - Text “SHOUT” to 85258 - Free, confidential, 24/7 text support line in the UK, offering texters immediate support with issues such as suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, abuse, self-harm, relationship problems and bullying.
- The Sanctuary Bristol | Mental Health Support Service | Second Step (second-step.co.uk) Open Mon-Sun between 6pm-12.30am
- 24/7 Helpline run by the Avon and Wiltshire NHS Partnership Trust on 0800 953 1919. This is not an emergency service and they are not able to help with immediate crisis situations.
