A new lived experience reference group shaping the future of our parks
We’ve launched 'Your Park, Your Say', a lived experience reference group that helps shape how we work as a charity.
Members bring insight from their own experience of what helps, what hinders and what genuinely opens up parks for everyone.
It’s an exciting step forward for our charity and one that puts real voices at the centre of every decision we make.
What they do
'Your Park, Your Say' brings together people from across Bristol and Bath who have faced barriers to parks, joined our programmes, cared for local green spaces or simply understand what good feels like when a park works for them.
The group is meeting every three months to review ideas, point out gaps and keep us grounded in what people actually need. They review our ideas, flag what is missing, and make sure changes reflect lived realities not organisational guesswork.
Get involved
'Your Park, Your Say' is helping us design with communities, not for them. It makes our work stronger, braver and more honest. We’re grateful to everyone involved.
If you want to learn more about the group or get involved in future opportunities, keep an eye on our website and socials. This group is proof that when people shape their parks, good things grow.
